Some forum posters over at Mac Mini Hacks have detailed a process that lets you open your Mini’s case without the use of the traditional putty knife tool. Looks like these guys are going to lose some business.
Paying for overpriced RAM just got a little less convienent
Their method involves the use of stranded, insulated wire — they got some from dismantling an ethernet cable from the looks of the pictures — and looping them around the clips that hold the top part of the case to the bottom. By pulling gently on the wires, you’re pulling back the clip and safely taking your mini apart!
